MSL are leading specialists in the manufacture of bespoke magnetic shielding.  Having been established for over 65 years, our experience and expertise allow us to adapt to the changing market and provide high quality, complex shielding solutions for emerging applications. Our products have assisted in medical research, electric automotive, aerospace, high-end audio and many more electronic applications. We are proud to help pave the way forward in new innovative products and applications thanks to our specialist teams here on-site in Staplehurst, Kent.

Our ability to design & manufacture bespoke products, including installation of fully commissioned magnetically shielded rooms, offers our customers high quality products to meet their specific needs. With an expanding customer base throughout the UK, Europe, USA & Asia plus a full manufacturing facility here in Staplehurst, Kent, MSL is fully equipped with the latest technology enabling us to provide our customers with the highest level of service and quality. All our manufacturing processes (including heat treatment) are integrated in our production plant.

Magnetic Shields designs and manufactures high-performance magnetic shielding solutions for customers worldwide through our UK parent company and our European and United States subsidiaries.

For over 65 years, Magnetic Shields Limited has led the way in the design and manufacture of high-permeability magnetic shielding from our UK headquarters. As our global client base continues to grow, we are proud to announce the launch of dedicated regional entities: Magnetic Shields USA and Magnetic Shields EU.

These locations serve as strategic technical hubs, ensuring our international clients benefit from localized account management and engineering support. All products continue to be manufactured to ISO standards at our primary UK production facility, maintaining the 100-year legacy of British craftsmanship and material expertise that defines the MSL brand.

A fundamental responsibility of any company or organisation is to guarantee the health & safety of its employees, Magnetic Shields Ltd is fully committed to providing both employees and visitors with a safe and healthy work environment.

In 2009 we proudly achieved the OHSAS 18001:2007 accreditation status ensuring our health & safety standards are of the highest quality. This certification has now expired and we are in the process of transitioning to BSI ISO 45001, meanwhile we continue to maintain the health & safety standards already set by the previous accreditation (now superseded by ISO45001).

At Magnetic Shields Ltd we are proud to boast the ISO 9001:2015 quality approval, to put the customer at ease knowing we have full control procedures in place for every aspect of business, from the receipt of order through to the dispatch of your shield. We feel it is vital for the customer to have complete traceability from the raw material to the final product.

ISO 14001:2015

A firm belief at Magnetic Shields is that our components should be produced in a way not detrimental to the environment. In 2007 we proudly attained the ISO14001:2015 international environmental accreditation. We also make use of a Vickers Energy Management System so as to reduce our Carbon footprint, reducing energy consumption by up to 10%.The addition of ISO14001:2015 to our work standards has encouraged us to consider environmental impact on a company-wide scale. This covers aspects of both business and the personal lives of those affiliated with MSL.

Our site is located in Staplehurst within the lovely county of Kent. We are on the outskirts of the county town of Maidstone with easy commuter access by either road, train, or local bus routes. We are accessible using the following methods:
  • Road: M20 Junction 8 or A229 from Maidstone (on-site parking)

  • Train: London Charing Cross or London Cannon Street to Staplehurst (Ashford Int’l,) 15minute walk
