Description
The role will involve programming and operating the 3-Axis & 5-Axis milling machines to manufacture a range of products from billet or part made fabricated shields. In addition, designing and manufacturing any required fixtures or tooling in relation to the machining of production parts. Working within the team, the job holder will liaise with colleagues to ensure customer requirements are fully met.

Roles & Responsibilities
- The successful candidate will primarily be responsible for programming and operating the 3-Axis & 5-Axis CNC milling machines, to manufacture a range of products from billet or part made fabricated shields
- The role will require an organized individual to ensure that all consumables for a job have been ordered (material/cutting tips/consumables etc) in preparation for starting a job in line with delivery dates.
- Design and manufacture of any required fixtures or tooling in relation to the machining of the production parts.
Qualifications & Experience
- The candidate must be able to set, program and operate a CNC 3-Axis Mill, preferably Duguard, or Haas mills using Heidenhainand/or Fanuk control systems
- Experience of low-volume, high quality batch machining
- Ideally have experience of Inventor CAM software or equivalent CAD/CAM systems using offline programming where necessary
- Experience of machining Nickle-alloys, stainless steels, aluminium & copper would be beneficial
- Able to work from engineering drawings, CAD models and have the capability to check own work
- Team player and be able to work to tight deadlines
- Experience of designing/manufacturing deep-drawn tooling
- Enthusiastic, self-motivated and determined
- Whilst able to operate independently, the ability to work as part of a team is essential
