About the Role
The HR Administrator will provide essential support to the Human Resources department, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of HR processes. This role involves maintaining employee records, assisting with recruitment, managing benefits administration and handling general HR queries. The ideal candidate will be highly organised, detail-oriented, and possess excellent interpersonal skills, alongside a strong commitment to supporting the well-being and development of employees.
Roles & Responsibilities
Includes (but not limited to):
- Employee Records Management:
o Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records (both physical and electronic).
o Ensure confidentiality and compliance with data protection regulations.
o Assist in the preparation and maintenance of personnel files, employment contracts, and other required documentation. - Recruitment Support:
o Assist with recruitment processes, including posting job advertisements, reviewing applications, and scheduling interviews.
o Coordinate and communicate with candidates regarding interview schedules and recruitment updates.
o Support the on-boarding process for new hires, including preparing induction materials and conducting initial training sessions and inductions. - HR Administration:
o Support the preparation of HR reports, tracking attendance, leave, and other HR metrics.
o Assist with employee performance reviews, promotions, and other HR processes.
o Handle general HR queries from employees, providing guidance and escalating issues when necessary. - Benefits Administration:
o Assist employees with benefits-related inquiries and assist with implementing new benefits as they arise.
o Coordinate the annual benefits enrolment process and maintain up-to-date benefits records. - Payroll Assistance:
o Collaborate with the payroll team to ensure timely and accurate payroll processing.
o Assist with processing timesheets, overtime, holiday pay calculations and deductions. - Training & Development:
o Maintain records of employee training and development programmes.
o Coordinate training sessions and assist with learning management system updates. - Compliance & Reporting:
o Assist inmaintaining compliance with employment laws and regulations.
o Support the preparation of reports for audits or other regulatory reviews including ISO9001 - General HR Support:
o Provide administrative support to HR leadership and team members.
o Help organise HR-related events, such as employee wellness programmes and team-building activities. Support HR projects as required.
Essential Skills
- Proven experience in an HR administrative role or similar position.
- Basic understanding of HR principles, practices, and employment laws.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in MSOffice Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and HR software (HRIS or similar).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to tasks.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Educated to ‘A-Level’ or equivalent standard
Desirable Skills
- Experience with payroll software and benefits administration.
- Knowledge of HRIS (Human Resource Information System) and applicant tracking systems (ATS).
- Certification in HR-related fields (e.g., CIPD) would be an advantage
- Experience of working in an ISO 9001 accredited company
