About the Role

As Manufacturing/ Process Engineer you will support our Production team by optimizing the manufacturing processes within the business. This will include advising on new machinery, equipment, tooling & work-flow layouts. Working with the Workshop Manager to implement improvements, being involved in the NPI Team and assisting production in adherence to the ISO 9001 systems in respect to any production documentation.

Roles & Responsibilities

Includes (but not limited to):
  • Assist production with technical assistance and problem-solving solutions
  • Sourcing and justifying new machinery, aiding in the implementation into production and then monitoring the output
  • Review & improve production processes using Lean manufacturing & continuous improvement methods
  • Working closely with all departments to push through improvement projects
  • Liaising with the Engineering/ Design departments & Workshop Manager, reviewing new products before they are released into production, ensuring any associated tooling/ equipment is implemented
  • Working with the Sales department to produce accurate production routings & aid the Quality department with the creation of manufacturing documentation

Essential Skills

  • Engineering degree, with experience within a minimum of 3 years’ experience or an experienced/ time served engineer within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in introducing new processes & products.
  • Excellent communication skills required between staff & management levels.
  • Pro-active hands-on problem solver.
  • Good project management skills, organising and planning proficient.
  • IT proficient, must be experienced in Excel, Word, in the use of MRP systems.
  • Experience of creating manufacturing documentation, such as SOP’s
