Roles & Responsibilities
- The candidate will work within our toolroom department operating our CNC controlled lathes & 2 mills to generate components required for tooling or directly by our customers
- Most components are designed in-house and will require the successful candidate to use the 3D model to generate the machining code within Inventor CAM software, which feeds directly into the machines
- You will also, in collaboration with our design department, aid the design of any fixturing or jigs that may be required to allow machining of the components
Essential Experience
- Minimum of 2 years experience within a machining environment
- Have experience of Heidenhain controllers
- Produce small, complex batches of components to high quality standards
- Experience of working from engineering drawings
- Ability to work within a team to ensure deadlines are met
Desirable Skills
- Experience of working within an ISO:9001 quality system
- Be familiar with LEAN/ 5S principles
- Have experience in Inventor CAM or similar software
- Experience of design & manufacture of machine fixturing
- Experience of sliding head lathes would be advantageous
- Programming knowledge would be beneficial
